Update 15 - Dual Monitor Help
I’ve got some exciting news from the front of practicality. I received a second monitor from my partner. She didn’t have a particular reason, except to say that I “deserve nice things”. It was completely unexpected, but I am incredibly grateful.
She doesn’t read what I write most of the time. I have trouble talking about my story in a way that’s coherent, that’s why I’m writing it down. She doesn’t know how I spend my hours in the office except that I’m writing. She knew that having a dual monitor setup was useful to me when writing at the office after hours, so she got me a monitor for home.
I am constantly humbled by my partner. It might be the ever-present Wraith of Catholic Guilt, but I have trouble receiving gifts for no reason. Hell, I have trouble receiving gifts in general. I rarely seem to have a sense of what to give someone unless I really think on it and go window shopping first. And she’s just thoughtful by nature.
The second monitor has been a huge help, and I’m very grateful to have it at home. Looking forward, I realize Nanowrimo is coming up. I’ve never successfully done a Nanowrimo project. I want to use this year’s event to help me with finishing True North.
Happy Sunday.
