Update 4 - Vacation
I took some time off this past weekend. Not a full week, but enough to make it five days. My goal was to relax and decompress. I did that. I got to go to a nature preserve with my partner, we celebrated my birthday, it was nice.
Since I got back to the office on Tuesday it’s felt like I’ve been at a sprint. Staying late to finish certain projects and not stopping to eat left me drained at the end of each day. Audible has been a blessing at least. If my hands are busy and my brain is just doing surface level math, I can get through books much more quickly. Still, I hardly wrote anything this past week. The result is that I feel kind of flat.
Thankfully there is a solution, as much as I might not feel like using it. I’ve found that if I just sit down and do the work, I get more done than I expected to for that day. That helps me sleep better. Makes me feel good. So that’s what I’m going to go do. I didn’t have much for a weekly update this week, but I also told myself I’d be consistent.
